Elle Fanning: 'I like that acting lets me make believe'

Elle Fanning has revealed that she enjoys the "make believe" aspect of acting the most.

The Super 8 actress admitted that while she is young and has not experienced many things in life, she is able to take on multi-faceted roles simply by using her imagination.

"I never really pull from experience. I just sort of make believe. That's why I like acting. You can create or imagine anything. It's not like I've fallen in love but I've had crushes and things," Fanning told Teen Vogue.

Fanning went on to discuss her fashion sense, saying that she is no hurry to look older than her 14 years and adding: "I'd much rather look like a two-year-old than a 21-year-old."

The Somewhere star recently expressed happiness that she is no longer mistaken for big sister Dakota Fanning after starring in the Sofia Coppola film.

Fanning has also admitted to "freaking out" over Ryan Gosling after seeing him in Crazy, Stupid, Love.
