The Benoit Jacquot-directed period drama will also have its world premiere at the festival.
Set during the 1789 French Revolution, the movie tells the story of Queen Marie Antoinette (Diane Kruger) and her ladies-in-waiting including Sidonie Laborde (Léa Seydoux), who has become close to the Queen.
The festival will honour Meryl Streep with the Golden Bear, and will screen Streep's past movies such as Kramer vs. Kramer and Sophie's Choice.
Kruger, who is in a long-term relationship with Fringe actor Joshua Jackson, admitted that she doesn't believe in marriage.
"I believe in a commitment that you make in your heart," she shared. "There's no paper that will make you stay."
Berlin Film Festival is held from February 9 to February 19.
