McCormack joins Stephen King thriller

Mary McCormack (The West Wing) has joined 1408, an adaptation of Stephen King's story about a haunted hotel.
Starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson, the film follows a man who takes pride in disproving the existence of paranormal phenomena, but finds himself pitted against a real case when he stays at the Dolphin Hotel's infamous room 1408.
Kate Walsh was hoping to star in the movie, but was forced to drop out when it became obvious that the filming schedule would clash were her Grey's Anatomy commitments. reports Variety.
Derailed's Mikael Hafstrom is directing.
