'24' star Nazneen Contractor joins 'Star Trek 2'

The 29-year-old, who played Kayla Hassan in the eighth and final season of the Fox thriller, is due to appear in JJ Abrams's upcoming sci-fi sequel, Entertainment Weekly reports.
She is expected to portray the wife of the unknown character played by former Doctor Who star Noel Clarke.
Indian-born Contractor has also starred in TV series Rules Of Engagement and The Border.
Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch was cast as the new Star Trek villain earlier this week.
Star Trek 2 is scheduled for release on May 17, 2013.
