The Rise of the Planet of the Apes actor, who recently sold his first novel, could play a pick-up artist named Mystery in the forthcoming film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Game chronicles author Neil Strauss's attempt to become a pick-up artist. Franco's Mystery acts as a mentor for Strauss in the book, which is partly a memoir.
Franco will cameo as Hugh Hefner in the upcoming biopic Lovelace.
It was recently reported that the actor will photograph and direct Seven For All Mankind's spring 2012 campaign.
