The release date for Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters has been postponed by almost a year.
The film stars Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton as grown-up versions of the fairytale characters. It was originally scheduled to be released on March 2, 2012, but Paramount has elected to push the movie back.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters will now open on January 11, 2013.
Arterton - who is currently working on vampire thriller Byzantium with Saoirse Ronan, Caleb Landry Jones and Daniel Mays - has previously admitted that she is irritated by speculation about her body, saying that she tries not to let herself get upset by comments about her weight in the press.
The actress has also said that Björk inspired her to join the movie industry.
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol star Renner can next be seen in The Avengers, followed by The Bourne Legacy.
