'Thor 2' to shoot in London this summer

Thor 2 is scheduled to begin shooting in London this summer.

Tom Hiddleston, who plays antagonist Loki in the movie, revealed the filming location during a webchat with Empire.

The actor also confirmed reports that Game of Thrones director Alan Taylor will take up the director's chair, and hinted that Loki will command an army in the sequel.

"Without revealing too much, there's a specific skill set you need to be [in] Loki's army - let me know if you have the qualifications," he said. "And all I know about Thor 2 is that we're supposed to film it in London in the summer and that it's being directed by Alan Taylor."

Patty Jenkins originally signed up to direct Thor 2 before exiting the project due to "creative differences" with Marvel Studios.

Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, who led the cast of the original Thor, have both confirmed that they will reprise their roles for the follow-up.

Thor 2 is slated for release on November 15, 2013.
