Meryl Streep "can't believe" she cursed during Golden Globes speech

Meryl Streep has jokingly apologised for cursing during her Golden Globes acceptance speech.
The Iron Lady star won the 'Best Actress (Drama)' Award for her portrayal of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher at the gala on Sunday (January 15).
When the flustered Streep reached the stage, she realised she had mistakenly left her glasses at her table.
"Oh, s**t - My glasses," she exclaimed.
Streep's spectacles were then passed through the audience from Harvey Weinstein to George Clooney, who walked up the aisle to give the glasses to David Fincher at the front table.
The star went on to humorously thank "everybody in England that let [her] come and trample all over their history" in her speech.
Streep appeared in the Golden Globes press room later in the evening and said she never expected to utter an expletive during her speech.
"I can't believe I said 's**t' on TV," the actress admitted. "I had such a good speech and I couldn't see it. Even if you held it in the front row, I couldn't read it because I left my glasses at the table."
Streep's win for The Iron Lady netted the star her eighth Golden Globe win. Her last triumph came in 2009 for Julie & Julia.
