Mark Wahlberg has admitted that he cried while watching The Help.
The actor explained that the real-life civil rights struggle that inspired The Help struck a deep emotional chord within him.

"The last time I really cried a lot? During The Help. I cried about six or seven times. It was the wife's choice, but it was a great movie," Wahlberg told Men's Journal.
Wahlberg went on to joke that he frequently lets his wife choose the film for his family's movie night, adding: "As long as it isn't a Sarah Jessica Parker movie."
The star also claimed that he would have prevented one of the 9/11 hijackings if he had been on one of the airplanes as-scheduled. He has since apologised for making the "insensitive" remarks.
Wahlberg is currently starring in Contraband, playing now in US cinemas and opening in the UK on March 16.
