Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 has surpassed $700 million (£450.17m) at the box office worldwide, it has been announced.

Lionsgate released a statement about the vampire franchise's box office results for the fourth instalment, stating that it has now achieved an estimated $701.3 million.
The movie is on course to top the worldwide numbers for the second film New Moon, which secured $709.8m (£456.34m), while the previous film Eclipse hit $698.5m (£449.06m).
Lionsgate's Rob Friedman and Patrick Wachsberger said: "The milestone is important on several fronts and illustrates the vitality of the franchise on a global scale even after four films.
"Stephenie Meyer's story and characters were brought to the screen this time via the talented hands of Bill Condon along with the cast and crew that has been with the film franchise since its inception. We are very proud of the success the franchise has experienced and anticipate the saga's conclusion this November."
The company's chief Jon Feltheimer recently hinted that the franchise may be extended after the completion of Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 is to be released worldwide on November 16 this year.
