Diane Kruger joins Stephenie Meyer alien invasion movie 'The Host'

The Inglourious Basterds and National Treasure star will play The Seeker in the film based on Twilight author Stephenie Meyer's novel, reports Deadline.
The Host tells the story of an alien invasion in which the bodiless creatures possess human beings.
It centres on Melanie, a former human resistance leader who fights back after becoming the host for Wanderer, who finds itself troubled by visions of the former's lover.
Kruger joins stars Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons and Jake Abel in the adaptation.
The Host is scheduled for release on March 29, 2013.
