The 2012 Academy Awards will take place this Sunday, February 26, from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.
Martin Scorsese's Hugo and black-and-white film The Artist lead the race with 11 and 10 nominations apiece, while George Clooney, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep and Rooney Mara all figure in the acting categories.
The Artist, French director Michel Hazanavicius's ode to silent cinema, is being tipped to take home the big awards on the night having already scooped three Golden Globes and seven BAFTAs.
