Laura Rosenthal told The Hollywood Reporter that the Harry Potter star will play poet Allen Ginsberg in the independent film.
Yesterday, Radcliffe denied that any contract to star in the movie had been signed.
The 22-year-old said: "It's one of the things that's on the table, absolutely. It would be amazing and I'm very, very enthused for that script and that young director.
"It's an independent film, it's a welcome to the world of independent film - from one day to the next it could happen or not happen. Until I'm there on the set, I'm not going to say anything about it."
Chris Evans, Jesse Eisenberg and Ben Whishaw were previously attached to the film, while Elizabeth Olsen is also said to be in consideration for a role.
