Jake Gyllenhaal has been cast in the role of Lance Armstrong in a film documenting the cyclist's life.
Armstrong let the secret out accidentally on a chat show on American Network ESPN, putting rest to rumours that Matthew McConaughey had been offered the part.
The cycling legend has been spotted over the summer riding and partying with both Gyllenhaal and McConaughey, and an ESPN source commented: "Lance said that's why he has been spending so much time with them both this summer."
