The Drive star was left off the list of nominees despite appearing in three prestigious films over the course of 2011.
However, the 31-year-old insisted that he does not feel snubbed by the Oscars.
"No," Gosling told The Hollywood Reporter when asked if he felt neglected by the Academy.
The actor is currently training in Bangkok for the Nicolas Winding Refn film Only God Forgives.
"It's very hard," Gosling said. They have people training around me and they could all beat me up."
Russell Crowe recently spoke out in favour of Gosling, claiming that the Oscar snub was "bulls**t".
The Academy Awards will take place on February 26 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
