Nicolas Winding Refn's film, which centres on a Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a wheelman, debuts on Blu-ray, DVD and digital download today (January 30) in the UK and tomorrow (January 31) in the US.
The seven-minute introduction, unveiled on Coming Soon, sees Gosling's taciturn driver explain the rules of the getaway.
"You give me a time and a place, I give you a five-minute window. Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what. Anything happens a minute either side of that, and you're on your own," he says.
Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks, Oscar Isaac and Albert Brooks are among the supporting cast for the movie.
The critically-acclaimed Drive recently picked up four BAFTA nominations, but was largely snubbed at the Academy Awards. The film is in the running for the 'Sound Editing' Oscar.
