'John Carter' Super Bowl teaser debuts

Disney has released a 20-second Super Bowl teaser for its forthcoming sci-fi blockbuster John Carter.
The video offers up a glimpse of Taylor Kitsch as the eponymous Civil War veteran who finds himself transported to Mars. Willem Dafoe's Tars Tarkas and Lynn Collins's Dejah Thoris can also be seen in the short promo.
Mark Strong, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Polly Walker and Bryan Cranston are among the supporting cast for John Carter, which is the first live-action project for WALL-E director Andrew Stanton.
The movie is based on Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burroughs's pulp character, who appears in 11 Barsoom novels spanning from 1917's A Princess of Mars to 1964's John Carter of Mars.
John Carter opens in cinemas on March 9.
