Benedict Cumberbatch: "I wouldn't turn my nose up at an action film"

Benedict Cumberbatch has revealed that he would love to take on more adventurous roles.
The Sherlock star said that he is a big fan of action films, and would like to be part of one should the opportunity arise.

"I wouldn't turn my nose up at an action film. I love the idea of getting involved," Cumberbatch explained to BBC Newsbeat.
"I love the Bonds, and Bourne as well. They're both fantastic franchises and that would be great fun."
Asked to name other action films which he had enjoyed watching, Cumberbatch responded: "There are all sorts of action films I like, [but] I thought Kick-Ass was fantastic because it shows the real cost of violence."
Cumberbatch was recently cast as a villain in JJ Abrams's Star Trek 2. He will portray Smaug the dragon using motion capture, in addition to voicing the Necromancer, in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.
