Elizabeth Banks has claimed that the Hunger Games movie is a "very faithful adaptation" of the popular book series.
The actress, who plays Effie Trinket, insisted that fans of Suzanne Collins's 2008 novel will not be disappointed with the big screen version.

"Everything that's in the book is in the movie," she told E!. "We didn't take any liberties. It's a very faithful adaptation."
Banks added that she expects audiences to be startled by the emotional depth of the film.
"I think you're going to be surprised how moving it is," she predicted. "It's extremely moving."
The Man on a Ledge star previously said that she felt "gratified" to be awarded the part of Effie.
She also described The Hunger Games as a "timely" picture, saying: "I think it's really important to tell kids that they matter, that individuals matter, and that everyone counts...That's what I hope kids take away from it."
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz and Stanley Tucci also star in The Hunger Games, which opens on March 23.
