Rihanna sets sail in 'Battleship' Super Bowl 2012 trailer

The Super Bowl trailer for Battleship has debuted online.
Universal's action blockbuster, starring Taylor Kitsch, Liam Neeson and Rihanna, centres on an armada of ships that encounter an alien race called 'The Regents' at sea.

Battleship is Rihanna's first acting role, which sees her play weapons specialist Raikes on one of the ships. True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard, Josh Pence and Brooklyn Decker also star in the movie, directed by Hancock helmer Peter Berg.
The movie is based on the popular Hasbro board game that sees players attempt to sink their opponent's carriers on a square grid.
Battleship will hit UK theatres on April 20, 2012 and May 18, 2012 in the US.
