'The Amazing Spider-Man' trailer: Andrew Garfield swings into action

Marvel's flagship superhero returns for "the untold story" in (500) Days of Summer director Marc Webb's 3D franchise reboot.
The Amazing Spider-Man will track high school student Peter Parker as he stumbles across a mysterious briefcase and begins to delve into the disappearance of his parents.
The teenager must learn to deal with new superpowers and his blossoming romance with classmate Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone).
Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary round out the cast for the summer blockbuster.
Webb has promised that his approach to Spider-Man will be different from that of his predecessor Sam Raimi.
He explained that his take on the iconic character contains "darker, more intense feelings" than Raimi's version, but promised fans that the "irreverent and fun" aspects of Parker's character will not be neglected.
The Amazing Spider-Man will be released on 3D, IMAX and conventional screens on July 3 worldwide.
