'Bridesmaids 2' could spoil name of first movie, says Chris O'Dowd

Chris O'Dowd has again cast doubt on the probability of a Bridesmaids sequel.
The actor said last year that "there's no word yet" on an update, before last month admitting he did not want a follow-up to the successful rom-com.

"To do a new movie, try to recreate it, I just don't think it ever works," O'Dowd told Metro.
Of what happened with his and Kristen Wiig's characters at the end of the first film, he quipped: "We just went and f**ked. There's not that much mystery there."
Jon Hamm, who appeared in Bridesmaids, has said that he doubts that Wiig would want to reprise her role as Annie in a sequel.
Director Paul Feig has said that he would be "open" to a follow-up but added that it had to be "as good or better than this one".
He later added that a sequel could still go ahead without Wiig's involvement.
Wiig and Annie Mumolo's script is up for 'Best Original Screenplay' at this year's Oscars and Melissa McCarthy is in the frame for 'Best Supporting Actress'.
