Vanessa Hudgens has revealed that she lived in a shelter for two weeks as preparation for her new film Gimme Shelter.
The actress will play a pregnant homeless teenager in the drama.

She told talkshow host Rachael Ray: "I actually went and stayed in a shelter for two weeks before I started filming.
"I lived there with all the girls, with all the kids, so I think that it's really interesting because you find so much more about yourself."
The Journey 2 actress also spoke about her physical appearance in the movie, saying: "I actually cut my own hair for this movie. I did that to myself."
