Speaking to Metro before going on stage, the Harry Potter actor referred to a previous ceremony where he struggled to remember the names of the nominees.
Radcliffe said: "I am a little bit terrified. I always get a bit nervous before I present.
"I did screw up very badly at one ceremony and forgot all the nominees' names and I had to cut straight to the winner."
The Woman in Black star added: "I'm gonna keep it simple and not try and be funny."
Without problems, Radcliffe presented Octavia Spencer with the 'Supporting Actress' accolade for her role as Minny Jackson in The Help.
Silent movie sensation The Artist dominated the ceremony, while Meryl Streep picked up the 'Best Actress' gong for The Iron Lady.
