Paramount Pictures confirmed on Monday (February 13) that director Michael Bay would once again take the helm of its forthcoming Transformers movie. Bay has directed the three previous entries in the franchise.
However, it now appears that the film will feature none of the original cast.
"I don't think anybody's doing it," Duhamel told E! Online.
He continued: "I know Shia [LaBeouf]'s not doing it. I don't think Tyrese [Gibson] or Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] or anybody else is doing it."
Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura told MTV News earlier this week that the project will be a reboot.
"I think we really are going to do a reboot there," Di Bonaventura said. "[But] what that's going to be, we don't even know yet…. We've got to get a story first."
Jason Statham recently addressed rumours that he will be starring in the Transformers franchise, saying that he has yet to receive an offer to join the upcoming instalment.
Transformers 4 is expected to be released in the summer of 2014.
