The actress, who plays field agent Eve in the upcoming 23rd instalment of the franchise, argued that nobody could really match up to Daniel Craig's super spy.
"My character would like to see herself as a female Bond," she told Total Film. "But I don't think anyone's really a match for Bond."
Harris said that she has worked hard to overcome her own fears in order to portray the formidable character.
"I kickbox and do a lot with guns," she explained. "I started off terrified by the sound of a gun, let alone having any idea of how to hold one but now I really enjoy it."
Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes and also stars Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, Bérénice Marlohe, Helen McCrory and Javier Bardem.
It is set for release in cinemas on October 26.
