'My Week with Marilyn' to play in 600 more theatres in the US

The film tells the story of Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) and her friendship with a movie set assistant, who she spent one week with in Britain.
The Weinstein Company is planning to expand the theatrical showing of the biopic on February 24, just two days before the 2012 Oscars ceremony takes place.
My Week with Marilyn is nominated for two Oscars - Williams for 'Best Actress' and Kenneth Branagh for 'Best Supporting Actor'.
"This role has been the challenge and privilege of a lifetime. I would like to think that the recognition our film has received by the Academy is a testament to Marilyn's legacy," Williams said of her nomination.
Williams has already won a Golden Globe for her portrayal of Monroe in the 'Best Actress (Musical or Comedy)' category.
