Paquin signs up for Western drama

Anna Paquin has joined the cast of HBO's new movie Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee.
The film follows the displacement of American Indians during the period of westward expansion in America during the late 19th century.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will play writer and teacher Elaine Goodale Eastman, a woman who was influential in the field of American Indian education and became a vocal activist for their rights.
Filming is scheduled to begin this month in Canada.
