Peter Segal will produce and potentially direct the live-action movie based on the hit manga, reports Variety.
Tite Kubo's ongoing manga follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a young man who can see the spirits of the dead.
Kurosaki is thrust into a strange world of ghosts and demons when he obtains the powers of a 'Soul Reaper'.
Wrath of the Titans writer Dan Mazeau is attached to pen the script.
Warner was first reported to be pursuing the rights for the manga almost two years ago.
Segal is best known as the director of 50 First Dates and Get Smart.
Warner has also been working on an adaptation of the classic manga Akira, with the script currently under review after the project was put on hold.
Bleach has spawned an animated television adaptation and several feature-length cartoons.
