The Help star, who is nominated for an Oscar, revealed that she is friendly with the Bridesmaids actress.
"Melissa and I are really good friends," Spencer told The Playlist.
"And we both have same reps, so I'm actually writing something that I'm approaching her to do, we're figuring it out [now]," she explained.
Spencer recently confessed that she wants to get her breasts lifted following the Oscars.
Both McCarthy and Spencer are nominated in the 'Best Supporting Actress' category at the 84th Academy Awards.
