Ben Zazove is working on an adaptation of the long-gestating comic book movie, reports Variety.
SLG Publishing's series focuses on a librarian who protects the Middleton Public Library from the forces of evil.
Written and illustrated by James Turner, the book sees the hero go up against monsters, aliens and alternate reality invasions as a member of the secret society called Ordo Biblioteca.

Producers Michael Bostick (Apollo 13, Evan Almighty) and Evan Turner will oversee the project for Walden.
Warner Bros was originally reported to have hired Madagascar and Chicken Run writer Mark Burton to work on the script back in 2007.
The little-known Zazove worked on Tooth Fairy 2 for Walden.
