Willem Dafoe on 'Spider-Man': 'It ended for me with Spider-Man 3'

By
Willem Dafoe has said that he is not sure if he'll be going to watch the new Andrew Garfield-led Spider-Man movie.

The John Carter star played the villainous Green Goblin in the three Tobey Maguire superhero blockbusters. The films proved to be box office hits, but the franchise has now been rebooted without director Sam Raimi and any of the original cast.

Asked if he will see The Amazing Spider-Man, Dafoe told Digital Spy: "It's funny, I really enjoyed working on Spider-Man but when I was finished with it, it really completed something for me.

"Maybe, I don't have an opinion on it one way or the other, to tell you the truth."

Dafoe, whose big screen credits include Platoon, The Last Temptation of Christ and Body of Evidence, added that the Marvel film is "probably the most widely seen movie that I've ever done".
