Ridley Scott to debut new 'Prometheus' trailer on March 17

Ridley Scott will debut the new trailer for his science fiction blockbuster Prometheus at WonderCon later this month.

The legendary director, who is returning to the world of Alien with Prometheus, is to introduce the first full trailer on Saturday, March 17 at AMC Downtown Disney in Anaheim, California.

Following the launch of the new trailer (4pm PST/7pm EST/11pm GMT), Scott will take part in a 30-minute Q&A session with Prometheus writer and producer Damon Lindelof.

20th Century Fox will debut the trailer online following the live event.

A recent Prometheus viral video was released showing Guy Pearce's character Peter Weyland delivering a TEDTalk in the year 2023. Weyland is the founder of Weyland Industries, the British corporation which featured heavily in the Alien movies.

Prometheus, starring Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Michael Fassbender, will open in cinemas on June 1.
