In the recently released big screen Muppets adventure, Beaker and several of his pals perform a cover of Nirvana's landmark hit 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.
Love, who was married to the late Cobain, has since said that the producers of The Muppets used the song without her permission.
Her allegation was later disputed by reports that she had sold off half her claim to Cobain's back-catalogue to a company which joined Nirvana's Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic in allowing the song's use in The Muppets.
Muppets star Jack Black has now branded Love's comments "absurd" and said he would never take part in any project that mocked Nirvana.
"I personally hold no-one in higher esteem in the world of rock," Black told E! News. "Kurt Cobain for me is at the top of the pyramid. He was the king…When he died it was sort of the end of rock."
The Muppets has become a worldwide hit, having taken in more than $158m (£100.5m) at the box office.
The film's star Jason Segel recently announced that he may not appear in a potential sequel.
