Kermit, whose first TV appearance was in 1955, said: "I want to say on behalf of the Muppets that we are just really happy to be here on Hollywood Boulevard joining some of the greatest names in showbiz."
The Muppets were joined by Lisa and Brian Henson, the daughter and son of Muppets creator Jim Henson.
"As the Muppets once sang, 'Look at us, here we are, right where we belong', and yes, they do belong, thanks to the lovers and dreamers and you, the fans," said Lisa Henson.
Disney recently announced that it is bringing The Muppets back for a sequel after winning 'Best Original Song' at the Oscars with 'Man or Muppet'.
