'Gridiron Gang' beats competition in US

Gridiron Gang took the prime position at the US box office over the weekend, with fellow new entry The Black Dahlia opening in second place.
The sporting drama reeled in $14.4m in its first three days, whilst Brian De Palma's mystery took $10.0m. In third place was Everyone's Hero, followed by former number one The Covenant in fourth place.
Also opening last week was The Last Kiss, which entered in fifth place.
