'Mission: Impossible' a no go for Pitt

The actor's spokesperson told the New York Daily News that the rumours were "totally made up". Claims that Pitt was offered a staggering $52 million for a one-movie deal were also branded a "complete fabrication" by Paramount Studios.
Paramount is said to be hunting for a new Ethan Hunt after its decision to sever ties with Tom Cruise last month. They cited his 'unacceptable conduct' off-screen and brought to an end a 14 year partnership with the star.
