Whitney Houston's makes a final screen appearance in upcoming musical drama Sparkle.
The 'I Will Always Love You' singer plays Emma Williams, the mother of three girls - Sparkle (Jordin Sparks), Sister (Carmen Ejogo) and Dolores (Tika Sumpter) - who form a girl group during the Motown era. Sparkle takes its inspiration from the story of Diana Ross & the Supremes and the 1976 movie of the same name.
Cee Lo Green and Derek Luke are among the supporting cast for Sparkle, which opens in the US on August 17 and October 5 in the UK.
