Rooney Mara, Jude Law in 'The Bitter Pill' - first look pictures

Rooney Mara and Jude Law have begun filming Steven Soderbergh's latest movie The Bitter Pill in New York.

Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Mara sports long hair for the role of Emily Hawkins, a woman suffering from anxiety and depression who has a dependency on prescription drugs. While on the medication, she unknowingly murders her husband and is put on trial.

Alongside Law, Soderbergh has recruited Channing Tatum and Catherine Zeta-Jones to star in the drama.

Soderbergh has insisted that he will retire from directing after finishing Bitter Pill and his Liberace biopic Behind the Candelabra with Matt Damon and Michael Douglas.
