Dame Judi Dench may be leaving the James Bond movies.
Sources on set of the newest instalment of the series of spy films have claimed to Best for Film that they've "filmed M's death scene" and that the actress is to depart the franchise.
There has been little word on the plot of the upcoming spy thriller, though several behind the scenes featurettes and official pictures of Dench as M were recently released.
Filmmakers earlier alluded to a plot having to do with the past of Dench's M character, with Bond's "loyalty to M tested".
Sony Pictures and Eon Productions, who produce the Bond films, have declined to comment on claims about of the departure of Dench.
Skyfall stars Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Javier Bardem, and Ralph Fiennes and is due for release on October 26 in the UK and November 9 in the US.
A trailer for Skyfall will debut next month.
