'Prometheus' viral video: Michael Fassbender in android advert

By
A new viral video for Prometheus starring Michael Fassbender has been unveiled.

Fassbender stars in the faux-advert as Weyland Corp android David, who features prominently in Ridley Scott's upcoming sci-fi epic.

The eighth generation Weyland android David touts his ability to "blend in with [the] workforce effortlessly" and also reassures his potential buyers of his willingness to handle any task they feel is "distressing or unethical".

This newly-released clip is the latest addition to Prometheus's viral marketing campaign, which screenwriter Damon Lindelof previously described as a "way to introduce" Guy Pearce's character Peter Weyland and promote "his ideas".

Fassbender is joined in Prometheus by Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba and Rafe Spall as the crew of a spaceship tasked with discovering the origins of mankind.

Prometheus is scheduled for release on June 1 in the UK and June 8 in the US.
