The video shows Jeremy Renner's Aaron Cross being evaluated by the covert government programme that produced Jason Bourne.
The film will also feature Edward Norton, Oscar Isaac and Rachel Weisz alongside franchise regulars Joan Allen and Albert Finney.
Matt Damon, who played Cross's predecessor in the original trilogy, will not appear in the latest instalment.
The Bourne Legacy is being helmed by writer/director Tony Gilroy, who worked on the screenplay for Russell Crowe and Ben Affleck's State of Play.

Damon has said he wants the film to perform well to pave the way for his return to the franchise.
The Bourne Legacy will open in cinemas on August 15.
