Jaden Smith is attached to star in a movie adaptation of young adult novel Boy Nobody.

According to Variety, the 13-year-old actor is not yet officially signed on, but Sony Pictures is currently in talks to buy the rights to adapt the novel into a star vehicle for Smith.

The novel, written by Allen Zadoff, is a teen take on the Bourne series of movies starring Matt Damon. The plot revolves around a brainwashed teenaged assassin trained to kill without emotion, who gradually regains his memory and goes on a journey to discover his past.

Boy Nobody is a planned trilogy of books, and is not scheduled for release in stores until next year.

Jaden Smith is currently filming M Night Shyamalan's After Earth alongside father Will Smith.

A sequel to his 2010 remake of The Karate Kid is also in the works.
