The action icons feature opening fire on an unseen enemy in the promotional image, which was released on the film's UK Facebook page today (April 24).
The Simon West-directed action sequel has been at the centre of a certification debate, with Stallone and Dolph Lundgren denying that there are plans to tone down the movie's violence at the request of star Chuck Norris.
"I heard that it's now R again," Lundgren explained. "Stallone's basic setting is to make it very violent. That's just in his personality, and if it was me I would do the same."
The Expendables 2 will arrive in cinemas on August 17, 2012. Stallone, Schwarzenegger, Willis and Jason Statham are all reprising their roles alongside cast newcomers Norris, Liam Hemsworth and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
