Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz feature in the promotional images, which debuted through Entertainment Weekly.
Django Unchained is reportedly inspired by Sergio Corbucci's 1966 movie Django, and sees Foxx play the eponymous slave who heads across America to free his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) from evil plantation owner Calvin Candie (DiCaprio).
Foxx said of DiCaprio's hammer-wielding villain: "Candie is a business man who owns a plantation called Candie Land, and that's where my wife ends up being. We have to get in good with Candie, by me playing a valet for Christoph's character."
Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds star Waltz is playing Dr King Schultz, a dentist-turned-bounty hunter who aids Django in his quest for revenge.
The film's supporting cast includes Tarantino regular Samuel L Jackson, Sacha Baron Cohen, Anthony LaPaglia and Kurt Russell.
