Kenneth Cranham, Lesley Manville, Miranda Richardson, Sam Riley and Imelda Staunton have joined the cast of the live-action Disney film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Elle Fanning and Sharlto Copley have already signed on to play Princess Aurora and King Stefan.
Manville (Another Year) and Staunton (Harry Potter) will play Fittle and Knotgrass - two pixies that guard Aurora - while Cranham (Made in Dagenham) will feature as a human king scheming against the fairy world.
Richardson (Harry Potter) has been cast in the role of Maleficent's aunt, the fairy Queen Ulla and Riley (On the Road) will play Diaval, Maleficent's servant who can transform into a raven.
The film will focus on the villainous sorceress of the classic 1959 cartoon movie, exploring the reasons behind her choosing to curse the baby Aurora.
Robert Stromberg will direct the film from a script by Linda Woolverton.
Maleficent is scheduled for release on March 14, 2014.
