Robert Pattinson recreates David Cronenberg's 'Videodrome'

By
Robert Pattinson has recreated scenes from his Cosmopolis director David Cronenberg's early movies in a new photoshoot for France's Premiere magazine.

Robert Pattinson pays tribute to Videodrome

The Twilight star, who will debut Cosmopolis at this month's Cannes Film Festival, took part in a 13-hour shoot with photographer Eliot Lee Hazel which saw him revisit Cronenberg's early films such as Videodrome, Dead Ringers and Scanners.

In an image based around Cronenberg's Videodrome, Pattinson is shown posing shirtless with a slit running up his stomach. The movie saw protagonist Max Renn (James Woods) insert video tapes into the hole.

The full photo spread is available in the latest issue of Premiere magazine.

Cosmopolis, opening in UK cinemas on June 15, sees Pattinson play billionaire Eric Packer as he journeys across New York. The sex-filled movie is based on the novel of the same name by Don DeLillo.

The film will premiere in competition at Cannes on May 25.
