Archaia Entertainment's horror graphic novel will be adapted for the new medium by director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon, a former assistant to Martin Scorsese and Alejandro Inarritu.
The book, created by Swifty Lang, Michael Lapinski and Chris Mangun, is heavily based around the political context of the border between the US and Mexico.
Feeding Ground tells the story of a Mexican family seeking asylum in the US, who fall afoul of the local cartel and US border patrol. As the chase heats up, the group discover that they are also being stalked by supernatural entities.
Carlos Coto will provide a screenplay for the movie adaptation, which will be filmed in both English and Spanish where appropriate, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Feeding Ground is yet to be assigned a potential release window.
