A new extended preview clip for The Amazing Spider-Man has premiered on television and online.
Viewers of America's Got Talent on NBC were the first to see the four-minute clip on Monday evening (May 14).
The preview blends scenes from the most recent theatrical trailer with extended footage of a new stunt showing Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) rescuing a young boy who is trapped in a car dangling from a bridge.
Garfield's character is seen removing his mask and encouraging the child to put it over his own face as the vehicle sets on fire, telling the boy that doing so will make him strong.
The Amazing Spider-Man also stars Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as primary antagonist Dr Curt Connors/The Lizard. Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Dennis Leary are also among the cast, while Stan Lee will make a cameo appearance.
Directed by Marc Webb, the movie opens worldwide on July 3, 2012.
