James Bond celebrates his 50th big screen birthday with the release of Skyfall later this year.
Sean Connery got the spy franchise off to a flying start with the release of Dr No in 1962 and hasn't looked back since. George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig have all armed themselves with a Walther PPK, romanced beautiful women and jetted across the globe over the course of the series.
There's even been two rogue 007 outings in Casino Royale and Never Say Never Again, produced without the involvement of Eon and starring David Niven and a returning Connery as Bond.
